What about children?
We do not have nursery care or children's programs at this time. We do have activity kits available for youngsters to occupy them while they sit with you in the sanctuary. For baby diaper changing, or calming a restless little one, there is a nursery room downstairs where a parent can be with the child--end of hall, then left and down the steps.
What kind of music do you use?
We use a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs. Hymn books (red) and Bibles are In the backs of the seats in front of you. Praise songs are inserted in the bulletin. Our choir is off in summer. "Off" doesn't sound right. They do sing beautifully. Really.
Do you ask people for money?
We take an offering, but we don't expect visitors to give. We are blessed that you choose to worship with us!
Where is the restroom?
It is near the sanctuary, between the two coat racks, and is marked as such on the door. We ponder the wisdom of its location. Most likely for convenience, we conclude. Separate men's and women's restrooms are downstairs--end of hall, then left and down the steps.
We've all been new at one time, so we think you may be wondering...
How should I dress for church?
Most of our congregants dress casually, so wear what makes you feel comfortable. Our service is not formal, and, anyway, Jesus never required a dress code.
Will I have trouble finding a parking place?
While we would love having a full parking lot, we've not had the problem of telling anyone to park in the shopping center across the street because we're out of space.
How will I know which door to enter?
From the parking lot go up the walkway and at the top enter at the double doors. You may notice a sign along the way with an arrow pointing to the entrance. A greeter should welcome you promptly and give you a bulletin for the service.
(The outdoor steps lead to Exton Preschool, a community service provided by our church.)
Is seating restricted to certain areas?
No, not at all. You may find that many people gravitate toward the back rows. We don't want to encourage that! However, you may sit wherever you prefer...although, if that's on the platform, you may find yourself being the layperson leading the service!
